Scandinavian Business Seating is owned by Ratos, a listed private equity company. Ratos' business concept is to produce the highest possible return by exercising its ownership role in a professional, active and responsible manner in wholly owned and part-owned companies. Extra value is created through the acquisition, development and sale of companies. Besides having a solid capital base, Ratos contributes long experience of strategic, structural and financial processes.
 

International portfolio
Ratos' portfolio currently consists of 20 companies in various industries. The companies span a wide spectrum of sizes and industries, and employ a total of 23,000 people around the world. The companies' total turnover in 2010 was SEK 37 milliard with an operating profit (EBITA) of approx. SEK 2,8 milliard.

Besides Scandinavian Business Seating, Ratos has interests in a number of international companies with Nordic roots including the Norwegian companies the Arcus Group and Jøtul, the Danish companies AH Industries, Contex Group and Stofa, the Swedish companies Anticimex, Biolin Scientific, Bisnode, DIAB, EuroMaint, Hafa Bathroom Group, HL Display, Inwido, KVD Kvarndammen, Lindab, Mobile Climate Control and the Finnish companies Finnkino, GS-Hydro and Medisize.
