Pure simplicity

RBM is based on Danish furniture design tradition that combines functionality, aesthetics and high quality. By focusing on “Pure Simplicity” RBM has established itself as a leading supplier of office furniture to design conscious customers in several markets.
The target group is companies and organisations that seek stylish furniture with high design value, but who also want investment costs to be at an acceptable level.
RBM has a very wide range of chairs and tables for the canteen, conference room and office segment. RBM is the furniture for public areas with its playful design, focusing on being simple, slim and lightweight, and it comes in a variety of smart solutions based on customer needs. The sleek design means that the furniture is easy to use and easy to put together in intuitive and flexible combinations in modern office environments. Based on this strong brand platform, the company is currently working on several development projects that will further strengthen RBM’s position as a leading supplier of office furniture with high design value.
A feature of RBM is that the company has, for many years, been working closely with leading industrial designers and design companies that have strong focus on how form and function can be combined and that have gained international recognition for their work. Among designers who RBM has worked with are the famous Danish design agencies Blum & Balle, Harrit & Sorensen and Acer Design. The latter designed the stylish table series RBM Connect. RBM is also cooperating with Norwegian Bare Møbler, where the young designers Oliver Djønne and Marius Sveen have designed exciting products such as RBM’s Twisted Little Star table and the module-based seating solution RBM Flip and Fold.
Another leading designer is Norwegian Tias Eckhoff, who back in 1980 designed the stacking chair RBM Ana. The stacking chair is a good example of the importance of good design and the fact that that good design is always in fashion. Since its launch, way over a million of these chairs have been sold and in conjunction with the 30th anniversary in 2010, this minimalist classic was released in a retro version in four new colours, where the base has aluminium lacquer in the same colour as the frame. Tias Eckhoff has also designed the RBM Bella, which, with its clean, simple lines was designed for a stylish environment.
The re-launch of RBM Ana is part of the deliberate and comprehensive work that is currently ongoing in RBM to emphasise even further the brand’s strength, where a stylish and vital design combined with functionality and quality is clearly a core ingredient.
Versatile
RBM meet the needs of different user groups, from furniture for public areas, small offices, to schools and the education segment, as well as extensive conference facilities. When the furniture is to be used by many different users, everything from material selection, design and production must be of good quality. Through knowledge and research, RBM develops furniture that contributes to good workplaces and conference facilities. Users are given the correct ergonomic functions, good comfort and individual customisation to facilitate a flexible work environment.
Systematic environmental work
As with other parts of the Scandinavian Business Seating, RBM has high environmental standards for products and solutions, choice of materials and processes. The company is constantly seeking to improve the products’ environmental friendliness, among other things by developing new solutions that make it possible to offer the same quality, function and design while using less materials and energy. Scandinavian Business Seating is certified according to the quality management system DS / ISO 9001 and the environmental management system DS/ISO 14001.
